No More Dieting For Me
I can just say, ‘No more dieting for me.’ I’ve had all I can take. I’ve been on lots of diets. Some worked (for a while). The results are only temporary. I am ready for a weight loss program that I can live with for the rest of my life, where I can eat anything I want… Okay, so I have to learn how to want some of the right kinds of food, but I am willing to do that.

Lost 60 Pounds! Now What?
In eighteen months, I lost 60 pounds. That’s great! Now it’s been two years, and I haven’t lost any more weight in the last 6 months. According to height/weight charts, I’m still twenty pounds overweight at the top-end! I’m happy weighing less and knowing that I am healthier but I am still not there yet. I’ve made a lot of sacrifices and they come easier with time. Now feeling frustrated now what do I do?

Lose Weight With The McDonald’s Diet
Since the film, SuperSize Me, successfully trashed the McDonald’s fast food chain, many people have started to prove that you can lose weight eating nothing but McDonald’s menu items. Soso Whaley, of Kensington, N.H., lost 36 pounds in 90 days, limiting her caloric intake to 2,000 per day. Merab Morgan, from Henderson, N.C., lost 37 pounds in 90 days eating nothing but McDonalds. Chris Coleson of Richmond, VA, is down 90 pounds! It just goes to show, it’s not where you eat, but what you eat that makes the difference in the war against obesity.

Eat Less Exercise More
Losing weight is not rocket science. Simply stated, eat less and exercise more. Eat a low calorie diet, like, 1600 -to- 1800 calories, and walk for 30 minutes at 3 -to- 4 miles per hour two or three days per week – and get used to it. You don’t have to bust your butt exercising. Just walk a few times a week and watch what you eat. It’s that simple.

3,200 Diets And Counting
With 3,200 diets to choose from, I’ve tried probably only 80 of them, so far. And I do lose some wieght, usually in the first three months, then I start gaining weight again. I don’t know if I’m normal, or if I have a freak-ish metabolism, or whatever. All I know is that I see my friends losing weight with all these diets that don’t seem to work for me. It’s very frustrating. I don’t know what to do. But, I do know, that if I don’t do someting soon, this excess weight could be the death of me.

Exercise Does Not Equal Weight Loss
I was an avid runner, and I thought that running would keep me thin all the years of my life. That seemed to work until I hit my late-thirties. I’ve kept running to keep me healthy, but have gained an average of 6 pounds a year, for the last five years. Now that I’m 40 and almost that many pounds overweight, I’m beginning to see that diet and exercise might work when you’re young, but may not work the older you get. I don’t feel that I could run any more than I do, or eat any healthier than I do. IMO, exercise does not equal weight loss.

Commitment: The Difference Between Success and Failure
I’ve struggled with being overweight my whole life. I blamed the diets, I blamed my aerobic instructors, I blamed my doctors and weight loss coaches. And now (both proudly and embarrassingly) I am losing weight. I just realized that I was the prblem for my lack of committment. Now, I think any diet might work, if you stick to it come hell or high water. Even when the results are not there. Stick to it – no matter what. It’s working for me – finally. Commitment really is the difference between success and failure – as much as it hurts for me to say that, after all those lost years of blame.

Eat More – Weigh Less
I’ve dieted my whole life. When I was younger, I would just eat less (sometimes nearly nothing at all) and I would lose weight. I weighed myself every day. Now, that I am older, guess what? It doesn’t work anymore. Now, when I eat less, nothing happens. After some self-discover and years of frustration, I found that I wasn’t eating enough calories! Don’t think that didn’t freak me out. I guess my age has turned my body into someone else’s body! Now that I am eating more, I am steadily weighing less. Go figure!

Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet
When I heard about Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet, where you can eat cookies and lose weight, I thought, I can do this! Then I found out that you can’t eat the cookies you want… you have to buy his cookies and eat only those. You know, I could live with that, too. Then, I found out that Doc Siegal promotes following an 800-calorie-diet to lose weight eating his cookies! I think he’s a few cookies short of a full bag! You could probably eat any cookies you wanted to on an 800-calorie-diet, while you watch yourself deteriorate into a corpse!

Eating Eggs Can Be Deadly
A recent study by Dr. Luc Djousse and Dr. J. Michael Gaziano of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School concluded that men who eat more than six eggs per week are 23% more prone to premature death. Diabetics who eat any eggs at all, have an increased mortality rate! I didn’t know that eating eggs could be deadly! Although they may be an excellent source of protein, looks like we better monitor our egg usage more closely.
